VENTURE

GROUPS

WHAT ARE VENTURE GROUPS?

This is where community happens!
Venture Groups are usually groups of 8 to 15 people that meet weekly, or regularly online, and in person. Our groups range in topics, with everything from workouts, to marriage focus, to in-depth Bible studies. Whether you are exploring faith in God, a new believer, or you have been a long-time committed follower of Jesus, Venture Groups are one of the best ways for you to grow in your journey of faith, connect in friendships with others, and serve the world around you.

Cycles run from:

  • FEB-MARCH

  • MAY-JUNE

  • JULY: SUMMER INTEREST GROUPS

  • SEP-OCT

  • + SOME INTEREST GROUPS RUN YEAR ROUND

HOST OR LEAD A GROUP

What is the difference between a Host and a Leader?

Hosts are volunteers who open up their home to host a group and are assigned a leader who will facilitate the study or topic of the group. It may also be that you host a Lifestyle Venture Group such as a hike, workout, etc. with the sole purpose of building relationships with like-minded people.
Hosts will still be required to attend the Venture Groups training and will have support from our Venture Groups Coordinator, Pastor Kristi Hussain.

HOW TO HOST

Open up your home and connect with your assigned leader on how to support him/her and work together to provide the best experience for your group attenders.

  1. Pick the day/time you want to host a group.

  2. A leader will be assigned to you.

HOW TO LEAD

Leading others to passionately follow Jesus is one of the most fulfilling parts of being a Christ-follower. Facilitate and/or teach Bible-based content or curriculum to help people deepen their faith, grow in their spiritual practices, and build community.

  1. Choose the people group you want to lead. For example: ladies, men, young professionals, young adults, moms, couples, etc.

  2. Choose what curriculum you’d like to lead from the V Group curriculum provided at the leader training. You will be provided teaching material of videos and discussion guides.

  3. Pick the day/time you want to lead.
