We are passionate about serving our community. Every month, Venture intentionally loves on our community. We believe that as we serve our city, God will change it.

What is LoveLocal?

Whether it’s feeding teachers at a local school, hosting a free movie night, paying for people’s groceries, gas, laundry at local establishments, or partnering with local organizations to create an impact - we’re passionate about wrecking Salinas and it’s surroundings with God’s love through being irrationally generous.

We believe that people are encouraged and changed through love. What if a person's first interaction with Venture was not an invitation to come to a Sunday morning experience, but an act of love shared with them for no reason at all? Throughout our community, we want people to experience God’s love through the people of Venture with no strings attached.

LOVE LOCAL WITH US. HERE’S WHAT’S COMING UP:

GIVING TREE

Nominate an individual or family for Christmas Giving Tree.

We want to ensure everyone has a gift to open this Christmas. Nominate an individual or family - our Giving Tree team will contact them directly. We take their Christmas wishes and place them on a tag on our Giving Tree. This gives our community an opportunity to grab a tag, and purchase a gift(s) from their wish list. They are brought bag wrapped, placed under the Giving Tree, and our team ensures they are picked up by Christmas.

All Gifts are given anonymously. This gives parents who are nominated the opportunity to have a gift to give their kids - giving them the option to give it from them. This is irrational generosity. It’s what we do. Venture Cares.

LOVING LOCAL IS A LIFESYLE

HERE ARE SOME WAYS TO START LOVING LOCAL TODAY

  • Pay for someone's coffee or lunch behind you in line

  • Homeless Care-bags

  • Go to a laundromat and pay for laundry - stay and talk to people

  • Assist with a neighbor's yard work

  • Leave a basket of goodies and water bottles on your porch for your delivery person

  • Drop off a care package for a teacher or school staff

  • Offer an elderly person in your neighborhood to do their grocery shopping or essentials pick up for them

  • Take goodies or coffee to our local Salinas PD, MC Sheriffs office, or Salinas Fire.

  • Thank people in thankless jobs

  • Hand your local grocery story checker a coffee gift card and thank them

  • Donate a coat to someone in need. Put an encouraging note in the pocket

  • Donate a new toy to a children's hospital or fire station

  • Bring coffee or pizza for teachers to your local school

  • Leave a thank you note and a small gift or goodies for your mail carrier, garbage collector or delivery person
